SAP ABAP

ABAP known as Advanced Business Application Programming is a high-level programming language created by SAP. It is similar to COBOL and has got wide acceptance like other programming languages ie Java etc. It is application-specific fourth generation language and it runs on SAP database. ABAP code exists in two forms, one is source code and the other is generated code. ABAP runs on a runtime which helps in transforming the code understandable to databases using Database interface. SAP works on a 3-level architecture.
